Bio

Hi! I'm Yomi, a VFx Supervisor at SunnyBoy Entertainment, for Virtual Reality, and cinematic projects. I received my Masters in Visualization(Computer Graphics) at the Department of Visualization, Texas A&M University. My main interests and area of specialty are in layout, texturing/shading, lighting & compositing. I am very passionate about creating interesting images that communicates a story.
In my spare time, I indulge in professional photography one of my most treasured talents that help me grow daily as an artist. Do enjoy my work!

Skills

Software: Maya, Unreal Engine, Nuke, Mari, 3Dcoat, Substance, Vray, Renderman, Arnold, Redshift, Mentalray, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Photoshop, Premiere, & Adobe Creative Suite.
Programming: Knowledgeable in Python and MEL scripting
OS: Proficient Linux, Windows and Mac OSX operating systems user

Demo Reels

My demo reel entails the best of my VR and 3D animation works, with more focus on layout, Lighting and compositing. However works from other stages of the animation production pipeline are included in my Generalist Reel. Ranging from texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering.

A few of my animation projects.

01 - Lighting mood study; under the supervision of Prof. Ann McNamara and Dreamworks VFX supervisor Dave Walvoord.
Responsible for all Lighting, shading, composting and few models.
Software used: Maya, Mari, Mental Ray & NUKE

02 - JJ (Jumping Jelly): A student project from VIZA 665 Digital Compositing Class, from the Department of Visualization at Texas A&M University.
JJ (Jumping Jelly) is a group student project by Yomi Adenuga, Yinan Xiong & Shenyao Ke.
Position held: Project Lead.
Responsible for all animation, all layout, all cinematography, lighting & compositing of shot 2, 3, 4.
Software used: Maya, Mari, Mental Ray & NUKE

03 - Eye Robot: Viz Summer Animation Project with DreamWorks Animation
Position Held: Layout Lead & Assist Lighting Artist.
Worked on all Layout, animation, lighting and all compositing.
Eye robot is a 30-second short animation created in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation at Texas A&M University during the course of 10 weeks over the summer in 2014.

My Thesis

My thesis was focused on exploring how one could adapt cinematic and theatrical lighting to direct viewer attention in VR story scenarios. I created illustrative examples demonstrating how these techniques can be used in Unreal Engine 4.
My committee chair was Dr. Fred Parke, at the Department of Visualization, Texas A&M University.
